During the rainy season this is a great trail to help you access the trails that are outside of park boundaries. The rangers know this and the trail is closed from May 1 to September 15 but at least they let us ride it for part of the year. The trail has a nice uphill grunt with switchbacks but the bonus is the scenery. After riding this trail the closure seems cruel and inhumane punishment for us two wheeled breeds. It is a well maintained piece of singletrack that I dearly miss when closed. Oh well.
