REVIEW

Renamed to Red R.

This trail is steep and flowing. At the start of the trail you descend down a piece of singletrack heaven. At this point the trail levels off for a bit and once again your ass is behind your saddle. At the bottom of this descent you'll encounter a huge fallen log. The ramp leading up to the top is a bit shaky but if you hit it with a constant speed you'll make it up no problem. Once on top you will ride down the log for about 25 feet before riding off of it. After this you're once again hanging onto your bike but now there'll be a few logs to traverse and roots to make your tires go out from under you. The trail levels for about 5 seconds and now read the above for the description for the next steep section (steep descent). Now there is another huge fallen log along this section. This log is easier to ride than the first one you encountered higher up. Okay you are now near the end of the trail but you have one last steep section and a ladder bridge to cross before you finish one of the finest trails on Burke Mt. The Lower Red R is a good introduction for those who'd like to start riding more technically challenging trails.
