This is one of those trails you should not ride after a rainfall. There are signs posted on other trails stating to not ride a trail for at least 24 hours after a rainfall. Sections of this trail need some work, as it has become rutted in a section or two. The ruts definitely created from heavy rainfall.
Sandinista is a really nice trail as it it not overly steep and only has a few difficult sections. A few rooty steep sections, the occasional boulder, but overall some really nice singletrack. Not very many man made structures on this trail and only one of note. Near the end is a ladder ramp going up, across, and down an old stump with a portcullis style opening cut into it. Too skinny for me to ride. Can't wait for it to dry up and give this trail a shot.
