REVIEW

Some updated photos of the trail. The trail has not changed much and is still a fun technical trail. Does not appear to be ridden much and the exit through the brush is quite overgrown.

REVIEW

Here it is folks! My favourite trail on Burke Mt. I can never get enough of this one. It's one of those trails I intend to clear and nearly have, but have always enjoyed every twist, turn, drop and steep.

The trail starts with a nice drop in and then you twist and wind through some singletrack before you descend a steep. At the bottom of the steep there is a ramp leading up a huge rock. Once at the top you'll encounter what I refer to as the whoop de doo's. It's two quick descents down a couple of exposed rock faces. Not too technical but it's ass off the seat time and no front brakes. After this section you begin riding downhill for awhile until you encounter the hardest section. This section is another half buried piece of rock. The top half is the easiest part but the bottom half is tough. There are two lines down this section. The one on the right is a drop about 5 feet in height but it can be ridden out on the thin plank. The line on the left is a rock ledge about 2-3 feet wide and quite treacherous once the rainy season is upon us. After this you'll be riding down some gorgeous singletrack that at points is along a stream. Parts of this section are ass off the seat but not to demanding. At the base of this section is a log ride. The log is about 20 feet long and has a nice run off. Once you clear this it's time to finish the trail. After the log the trail turns right and then a left and a steep section to test your mettle. In the middle of the steep is a small drop putting fear into the timid. Just lean back and ride it out. Don't lean to far back or you'll know the real meaning of skid marks. And there it is, done, complete and another great trail ridden and waiting for you again.
