REVIEW

Some new features were added to the trail and some basic trail work done. My favourite drop ridedown has been upgraded to a plank drop or ride down. Nice work guys.

REVIEW

The Lower Snake is my favourite trail on Burnaby Mt. Great singletrack with roots, rocks, man made structures, and a drop or two.

The trail starts off with some really nice singletrack and then you come across a little drop that can be jumped. Next up is a switchback, quickly followed by another, then into some more nice singletrack. After a bit you come across another switchback before the first real man made structure, a ladder bridge. Wide enough to comfortably ride across. Some more singletrack and then onto another ladder bridge with a small drop or ride down at the end of it. Shortly after this on the right side of the trail is a small drop; I used to practice on this drop to get comfortable with riding down bigger ones.

The final section of the trail has some nice rock work laid down, followed by more ladder bridges over more sensitive areas of the forest. More really nice singletrack before exiting the trail.

I used to do this trail over and over again during a ride. It's not that difficult to do and the climb back up is not much of an exertion. But after few times it does get a bit more difficult to climb.

REVIEW

The Lower Snake is not as steep as the Upper Snake but does take some skill to ride. You will be riding down loose dirt and rock, so be careful.
