This trail is relatively new and fresh. When you start from Westside Main F.S.R. You'll have 2 logs to cross and some rooty singletrack. As you move along, a spectacular view of Black Tusk will be your reward. There is a bit of climbing to reach the lake but before you reach the lake you have a downhill. The trail is easier to ride from the lake to the road. Once you reach the lake look for a spot and go fishing, swimming or just hang. This little lake is well worth the ride or hike in; it's quiet and nary a soul around.
