REVIEW

I've never liked Dale's in the past but have now changed my mind on it. I now tolerate it. It has one of the most nastiest rock rolls on it, an off camber monster.

That being said, a lot of work has gone into Dale's and it is in two basic sections. The top section (Upper Dale's now) which has a nice flowy downhill with lots of berms and the rest. The rest is basically your standard North Shore trail. There are a few MMSs on it but is really rooty and rocks thown in for good measure. Around the half way point the trail splits into two. The right is the ride around the rock section. No photos yet of the ride around. The rock section has quite a few rocks to roll down. There are two of note. The first one is similar to the rock roll down on Espresso. But this time don't forget to do the quick left after it. The second rock roll of note is the previous mentioned off camber rock face. I've seen people do it but am still astounded when it is cleared.

After the this section the trail goes back some really nice singletrack and doe shave a log ride on it. Which I found kind of unusual for this trail, for whatever reason, basically take advantage of any fallen tree when possible. There is one section of note here. A steep section that starts off with a rock roll and into a rock garden and then another sketchy steep section strewn with a few rocks. Some swtichbacks and you are popped out opposite Forever After's entrance.

Be careful on this trail, it is deceptive.

REVIEW

Dale's starts out as a leisurely ride but turns into one helluva trail. Tight singletrack with drops, logs, and switchbacks, but the main feature of this trail is the 4 meter drop off a cliff face. I couldn't believe it when I saw skid marks down the face of it. I had a hard time climbing down it with my bike on my shoulder let alone riding it. Dale's comes out about halfway down the Powerline trail.
