REVIEW

The Abyss is basically a loop that starts at the top of 7th street. To get to the entrance drive up 7th street until you get to a coal hill with a yellow gate in front of a service road on your left. Follow this service road for 100 meters until you see a singletrack trail and a rock face going up the hill on your right. Follow this trail up and keep to the right as it branches off a few times. You should end up at a trailhead at the tree line. This is the abyss. This is a really good trail for all types of riders because it is not a very hard trail but has lots of drops rock faces and a few ladders and log rides that branch off of the main trail. There has been a lot of building in this area and a lot of good lines are being built. If you follow the trail to an clearing with rocks in the center you can go either left or right. If you go right it will eventually take you to another service road. Turn right along this service road and follow it for a few minutes and you will see a trailhead on your left by a yellow post. This trail is called Humility and will take you back to the power lines where you started. If you take this trail it will connect with humility at around the halfway point. Turn left on Humility and it will take you back to the beginning. There has been logging in the area so ride these awesome trails while they still exist.
