On the east side of Vanier Park beside the Bike Park is a wooded area that used to have a mountain bike trail circuit that was used for races back in the 90s. Today all that is left is a wide wood chip trail and a homeless encampment. There is a pond with various detritus floating and half floating in it. Be careful in this area as I do not know the disposition of the residents. It is sad to see the trails are gone and I do not know if this area will be developed when the towers go up.
